Top 4 Ways Trade Shows Build Business

1.  Face-to-face engages: According to a 2010 Cornell University study on face-to-face meetings, live events trump all other mediums in their ability to:

  • Capture attention - people’s full attention is needed to initiate a new or different relationship, culture, strategy, or product.
  • Inspire a positive emotional climate - do not underestimate the power of inspiration and positive emotional climate as a real currency of business.
  • Build human networks and relationships – information is being commoditized; there is much greater value in “people networks and relationships”

2. Face-to-face closes the deal: A Harvard Business Review study of 2,300 business leaders in the United States, Europe and Asia showed that 79 percent of respondents claimed that "in-person meetings are the most effective way to meet new clients to sell business" and 89 percent said such face-to-face interaction is "essential for 'sealing the deal.'"

3.  Establish trust: Break through the traditional marketing and branding clutter of print and online.  Build trust with a handshake, a smile, an interest in your client’s needs.

4.  Build brand image: Live events offer a variety of ways to present your brand through printed programs, exhibit hall signage, sponsorship of premium gatherings, as well as through the personalities of you and your team.

Exhibiting at trade events will give your company the competitive edge it needs to continue to grow in today’s ever changing market.  Build trust with your current customers and start the new relationships with an in-person handshake.  Start now!
